September 24 Village meta-progression update
Tears of Metal Village price changes, purchase refunds, Army Composition and Ally Moniker unlocks, shop upgrades, and combat fixes.
Village shops have revised prices and currency costs. Previously purchased items that became cheaper refund currency when you next reach the Village. Some shops can be upgraded to unlock more items.
Village progression
For new players, Army Composition bonuses and Ally Monikers start locked and must be acquired in the Village.
Return to the Village to receive any refund owed for an item whose cost was reduced. The Village weapon purchases now cost 3 Meteors for Wallace, 9 Meteors for Brienne, and 18 Meteors for Ruadh. See the weapon catalogue for each kit.
See Village progression, Ally Monikers, army progression purchases, and shop unlocks.
Combat and presentation
- Hero hitboxes no longer sometimes use incorrect values.
- Allied Archers no longer make uninterruptible enemies briefly rise and fall on a hit.
- The Rogue no longer starts another attack before its teleport counterattack can trigger.
- Greater Coin Chests now use a larger chest model.
- Misleading descriptions for Brienne's weapons were corrected.
- Gilles' ground-stab audio and other audio events received fixes.
Multiplayer
AI fights use less network processing. Ranged enemies attempting to attack blocked targets no longer cause the occasional lag spike and excessive traffic described in the patch notes.
Crossplay is temporarily disabled on this version. Select Steam's Crossplay beta branch to use the older compatible version when playing across storefronts.
